Have you ever felt in your life that God is not listening to you and that he has abandoned you?
I know that I sure have in my life . There are seasons in our life where God is silent. Even though we feel he has left has , he is still with us carrying us through our difficult times.
In my life, I have felt like I have cried out to God many times and he is just not hearing me. I come to a point where I just don’t know what to say to him each time I spend time in prayer. Here are few things I try to remember when I feel like I have been forsaken and forgotten. I remember all the times in my life where God has done miracles for me in the the past.
When I feel like God is not listening to me , I go back to all those times in my life when God split the seas for me before. Remembering what God has done for me in the past strengthens me and builds my faith.Spending time with God helps me develop my faith muscles.
I write my Bible verse promises in a notebook and read them everyday reminding myself of his goodness and faithfulness. Writing the promises from the Bible strengthens me and increases my faith even when my surroundings are saying something completely different. Lastly I remind myself that God is shaping my character in difficult circumstances. In difficult circumstances, my true character comes out. Difficult times draws me closer to Jesus and allows for Christ like character to develop. He is changing me to be more like him through trials.
There are certain things that you can only learn about God through suffering.
There are seasons in our life when God is silent. That does not mean God has forgotten us.
He is working behind the scenes. he will answer in his perfect timing.
